The art and process of creating images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiations. Through use of chemical by means of a light-reactive material. Predominantly a lens is used to focus reflected or emitted light-sensitive surface during a measured exposure. The Resulting Exposure must be chemically developed to create a lasting visible image, either positive or negative depending on the purpose or method of processing the image. Traditionally, a negative image on film is used to project a positive of the captured image on a paper base by means of an enlarger or by contact printing.
